When God Fights For You

When A Man’s Ways Please the Lord
By Glenn Bleakney
“When the LORD takes pleasure in anyone’s way, he causes their enemies to make peace with them” (Proverbs 16:7, NIV).
Scripture is clear that when a man or woman please the Lord they will experience exceptional favour from Him manifested in supernatural ways. King Jehoshaphat is a prime example of this. He was a righteous ruler who took great pleasure in following the ways of the Lord. “And his heart took delight in the ways of the Lord…”(2 Chronicles 17:6). As a result, the kingdom was established in his hand and he became extremely powerful and prosperous. (See 2 Chronicles 17:11-13).
When we delight in doing the Father’s will our enemies cannot prevail against us. This is because the presence of God with us will strike fear in the heart of our adversary the devil. “And the fear of the Lord fell on all the kingdoms of the lands that were around Judah, so that they did not make war against Jehoshaphat” (2 Chronicles 17:10).
Beloved, as you trust in the goodness of God, you will experience supernatural breakthrough and extraordinary miracles. Spiritual opposition must cease in Jesus’ name! Those who have been antagonistic will make peace with you. The Father will grant you rest and cause His favour and blessing to overtake you. “The fear of God came on all the surrounding kingdoms when they heard how the Lord had fought against the enemies of Israel. And the kingdom of Jehoshaphat was at peace, for his God had given him rest on every side” (2 Chronicles 20:29-30 NIV).
Prayer For Activation: “Father, teach me your ways so I might walk in your truth. I delight to do your will. I declare in the name of Jesus that my enemies must be at peace with me and all factions and spiritual attacks must cease! Thank you Father for your holy presence in my life that causes the enemy to tremble! Amen.”
