WALKING IN THE LIGHT

Fire naturally generates light. As a metaphor, light speaks of divine revelation. Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life” (John 8:12).
The Spirit is quenched when human rationale is substituted for divine insight and wisdom. Scripture says we walk by faith and not sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). Faith is the “evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1). Therefore, it is viewing life from God’s perspective, not our own.
A full restoration of the Gifts of the Spirit is needed today for prevailing against Satan and advancing the Kingdom of Heaven on the earth. Jesus clearly instructed His followers that it is the person of the Holy Spirit who will lead us into all truth (John 16:13). By walking in the Spirit, we receive the revelation and knowledge we need to be protected from deception and to receive all we need from Christ Himself to do His will, experience His blessings, and minister to others powerfully.
