That Your Joy May Be Full

“Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full” (John 16:24).

The Father has extended a glorious invitation to His children to boldly ask of Him whatsoever we desire. We are assured by Jesus Himself that we will receive those things we request of the Father. “Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you” (John 16:23).

The promise of receiving “whatsoever you ask” does not apply to everyone, but to those that have learned the secret of abiding“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you” (John 15:7).

Abide is to remain in a constant state of communion with the Father where you receive direct revelation by the Spirit. This will invariably result in experiencing powerful answers to prayer because you are not asking haphazardly, but in complete harmony with the will of the Father.

“And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will” (Romans 8:27, New Living Translation).

Your Heavenly Father delights to answer your prayers so that your joy may be full. When you know the will of God, you can keep believing and continue asking until heaven’s reality becomes your experience.
