| Many people are deeply concerned about the current coronavirus pandemic. Rightly so! CNN just posted that Italian doctors are not convinced that the lockdown in their country is working and they have no Plan B. What a crazy time to live in! But let’s remember that Jesus Christ is King of Kings and Lord of Lords! Our faith must be rooted in the revelation of WHO He is and what He accomplished at the Cross. There are two major truths we must lay hold of in such tumultuous times! ▪Jesus possesses all authority in heaven and on earth.“Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth” (Matthew 28:18, NLT). ▪He has delegated His authority to His Church and has promised both power and protection to us. “Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you” (Luke 10:19, NLT), |

| In a time of mass viral infection, Christ specifically declared, “nothing will injure you!” This is an interesting statement. In the original language “injure” means to “violate a law.” Satan does not want you to walk in the truth of this revelation: There are divine laws that govern and protect ONLY those that are subjects of God’s Kingdom. Notice I used the word “subject,” not a citizen? According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, a subject is “one who lives in the territory of, enjoys the protection of, and owes allegiance to a sovereign power or state.”It is only when our allegiance is fully given to the King of Kings, then can we enjoy complete protection of the Kingdom of God.
