DAY 5 — The King’s Mission Becomes Ours

Today’s Teaching
After Jesus rose from the dead, He didn’t say, “Stay safe until I come back.”
He said, “As the Father sent Me, I also send you.”
This is Kingdom language.
Jesus was sent to:
restore what was lost
reveal the Father
destroy the works of the enemy
proclaim the Kingdom
release captives
heal the sick
disciple nations
fill earth with Heaven’s culture
Now He turns and hands that mission to you.
You are not a spectator of the Kingdom—you are a steward of it. You don’t just receive the Kingdom—you advance it. You don’t just believe the gospel—you become its expression.
Jesus didn’t save you to escape earth; He empowered you to transform it.
What Christ Restored to You:
“Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father” (John 14:12).
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8).
Through His sending, Christ restored to you:
His mission as your mission — you carry the same assignment He carried
His power to accomplish it — the Holy Spirit gives you the capacity to do what Jesus did
His authority to operate in His name — “As the Father sent Me, I send you” means you go with His full backing
The expectation of greater works — not greater in quality, but greater in scope and multiplication
A Kingdom assignment in your sphere — your workplace, family, city, nation is your mission field
You are not plan B. You are not filling in until Jesus returns. You are the intentional strategy of Heaven to fill the earth with Kingdom reality.
How to Put On the New Man:
1. Accept the sending — You’re not trying to figure out if you’re called. You’re already sent. Now discover where.
2. Receive the power — You can’t do His works in your own strength. Daily ask for fresh filling of the Holy Spirit.
3. Expect supernatural results — Don’t shrink back from the “greater works” promise. He said it. Believe it. Step into it.
4. Identify your sphere — Where has He sent you? What Kingdom assignment is uniquely yours? Start there.
Reflection: Where is God sending you—your sphere of mission? (Workplace, family, city, industry, school, friendships, etc.)
Activation: Write one practical step you will take this week to bring the Kingdom into that sphere.
Then pray:
“Father, I receive the mission You’ve restored to me. I am sent as Jesus was sent. I put off passivity and put on active Kingdom advancement. Fill me with Your Spirit. Release Your works through me. I will do what Jesus did, in the places You’ve assigned me. I am not waiting for the Kingdom to come—I am bringing it. I am not a spectator—I am a sent one.”
