DAY 4 — The Kingdom Is a Present Reality
Reading: Luke 17:20–21
Teaching:
The Pharisees expected a political kingdom. The disciples expected a military kingdom.
But Jesus announced a spiritual Kingdom that begins within the human heart.
“The Kingdom of God is within you.”
Not someday. Not somewhere else. Not after you die.
Now. Here. In you.
The Kingdom is present wherever:
Jesus is King
His Spirit fills a person
His nature is expressed
His authority is exercised
His will is done
This means you carry a Kingdom atmosphere into every place you enter:
workplaces
neighborhoods
relationships
boardrooms
cities
When the King rules in you, He rules through you.
What Christ Restored Inside You:
“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?” (1 Corinthians 6:19).
“Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27).
Christ restored in you:
The indwelling presence of God — you are the temple; He lives in you, not in a building
Glory as an internal reality — not someday in heaven, but Christ in you now
Kingdom authority from within — the Kingdom doesn’t come externally; it flows from His presence in you
Atmospheric transformation — where you go, the Kingdom goes; you shift spiritual climates
You’re not waiting for the Kingdom to arrive. The Kingdom arrived when Christ entered you. You’re not hoping to experience His presence someday. His presence is in you right now.
The question is not “When will the Kingdom come?” The question is “Will you let the King rule?”
How to Put On the New Man:
1. Recognize who lives in you — Stop thinking of yourself as ordinary. The King of the Universe has made His home in you. You carry Him everywhere you go.
2. Let Him rule internally first — Surrender your thoughts, emotions, desires, and decisions to His kingship. The Kingdom begins inside.
3. Release His Kingdom externally — As He rules in you, He rules through you. Bring His presence into every room, every conversation, every assignment.
Reflection: What area of your life needs to come under the King’s rule today?
Activation: Surrender that area in prayer:
“King Jesus, rule in me so You can rule through me. I receive the reality that Your Kingdom is within me. I am Your temple. Your presence transforms everything I touch. I put off self-rule and put on Your kingship over every area of my life.”
