WEEK 3 — DAY 3 — Jesus as the Last Adam
Daily Kingdom insights for bold, Spirit-empowered living!
DAY 3 — Jesus as the Last Adam
Reading: 1 Corinthians 15:45
Teaching:
Paul calls Jesus the Last Adam because He came to finish what the first Adam started and lost.
Where Adam failed the test, Jesus passed it. Where Adam hid from God, Jesus walked with Him in perfect obedience. Where Adam surrendered dominion, Jesus reclaimed authority. Where Adam brought death, Jesus brought life.
Jesus didn’t just save you; He reinstated you. He recommissioned you. He reclothed you with glory (John 17:22).
He modeled what humanity was always meant to look like:
healing the sick
commanding storms
multiplying resources
walking in authority
loving with compassion
overturning darkness
revealing the Father
Jesus didn’t do these things as God alone—He did them as a Spirit-filled human to show us the pattern.
He reveals not only who God is… but what humans are capable of when aligned with the Kingdom.
What Christ Restored Through His Victory:
“The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work” (1 John 3:8).
“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:10).
As the Last Adam, Jesus restored to you:
Victory over the enemy — the devil’s works are destroyed; you’re not a victim
Abundant life — not barely surviving, but fully alive in every dimension
Authority to operate in His name — “In my name” means with His authorization
The pattern for Kingdom living — what He did as a Spirit-filled human, you can do
Glory restored — the glory Adam lost, Christ recovered and distributed to you (John 17:22)
You are not trying to become like Jesus someday. You are being conformed to His image now. The same Spirit that filled Him fills you. The same authority He demonstrated is available to you.
How to Put On the New Man:
1. Study Jesus as your model — Don’t just worship Him at a distance. Watch how He operated. He’s showing you how to live as a Spirit-filled human.
2. Receive the Spirit’s fullness — Jesus operated in the power of the Spirit, not independent deity. That same Spirit lives in you. Ask for more.
3. Practice Kingdom authority — Start small. Pray for the sick. Speak Kingdom truth. Command circumstances in His name. You have the authority—now use it.
Reflection: Which aspect of Jesus’ life inspires your understanding of your true potential in Him?
Activation: Meditate on one moment in Jesus’ ministry (healing, teaching, miracles) and ask the Spirit:
“Show me how this models my Kingdom assignment. What did Jesus restore in me that allows me to walk in this same authority?”
Then write down what He shows you.
