Daily Kingdom insights for bold, Spirit-empowered living!
DAY 4 — God Came Looking
Reading: Genesis 3:8–9
Teaching:
This may be one of the most tender scenes in Scripture.
Humanity sins… and God comes walking toward them.
Not with lightning. Not with judgment. Not with condemnation.
But with a question: “Where are you?”
Not because He didn’t know. Because they didn’t know.
Sin disorients. Shame blinds. Fear creates distance.
And yet—God draws near.
The God who formed galaxies with a word now stoops down into the brokenness of His own image-bearers and invites them back into relationship.
In that moment, the heart of the Father is revealed:
He is not the God who abandons when we fail. He is the God who pursues.
And Christ came to bring us back—all the way back.
Paul writes: “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).
And again: “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ”(Ephesians 2:13).
What Christ Restored:
Nearness to God — no longer hiding in fear, but welcomed into intimacy
Reconciliation — the relationship is not just repaired, it’s restored to fullness
Confidence in His pursuit — He doesn’t wait for you to come back; He comes for you
Safe belonging — you are not an orphan in the garden; you are a son or daughter in the Kingdom
How to Put On the New Man:
1. Stop hiding — Answer His question: “Where are you?” Tell Him the truth about where you’ve been emotionally, spiritually, relationally.
2. Believe you are wanted — He’s not asking because He’s angry. He’s asking because He loves you. Receive His pursuit as love, not condemnation.
3. Step into nearness — You don’t have to clean yourself up first. Come as you are. The blood of Christ has already brought you near.
Reflection: What area of your life is God gently asking, “Where are you?” Where are you hiding emotionally, spiritually, or relationally?
Activation: Write a honest prayer:
“Father, here’s where I’ve been hiding: [be specific].
I believe You are not angry—You are pursuing me in love.
I receive the nearness that Christ purchased for me. I step out of hiding and into relationship. I am brought near by the blood of Jesus. I belong to You.”

Don’t miss it—let’s grow in revelation and Kingdom transformation together.

For years in my early walk with God I did this, I ran away from Him everytime I fell short and missed the mark.
I possessed an orphan spirit, a false identity of Sonship of who I was, who God was towards me.
I lived from a fractured soulish psyche with a hostile mind & the lies that filled my mind with the false illusions of the ugly twin sister sin'drome of shame & guilt about myself thinking that I was guilty which plagued me in a repentance mindset.
This wrong thinking kept me on a merry go round of 'feeling' unworthy which keept me from entering in before His throne room ( the cross) in 'trying' to obtain mercy and forgiveness when Christ had already cleansed us with a clear conscience by faith giving us the confidence and assurance in Christ of a finished (Tetelestai ) 'Paid in full' and 'once for all' work that was wrought in Jesus.
Driven by performance and perfection management and behaviour modification not understanding Christ's imputed righteousness, I continued to struggle bound by sin conciousness and
the lies I believed.
I had no root in the Word at the time of my conversion or discipleship. It was only years later that Holy Spirit led me into the truth and revelation, that I had already died & that my life was hid in Christ ( Colossians 3:3) This truth set me free knowing the old man was dead and taught me how to put and live in the new man.
