Sacred Rest: Finding Renewal in His Presence
Opening Scripture

Today's Reflection
The sacred rhythm of rest stands as a divine marker of our relationship with YHWH, the One who sanctifies us. This profound truth reveals that rest isn't merely about physical recuperation—it's about transformation through His presence. When Jesus later echoes this truth with His invitation, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28), He connects His ministry directly to YHWH's sanctifying work through sacred rest.
Consider how Jesus approached rest. Even with pressing needs and limited time, He regularly withdrew to quiet places for prayer (Luke 5:16).
