Revival: The River of God's Transformation
While many liken revival to a spiritual awakening, there's a deeper metaphor to consider: revival as a mighty river, echoing the profound vision described in Ezekiel 47. Imagine a once-vibrant river reduced to a mere trickle, its banks parched and the surrounding landscape yearning for life. 1. Refreshing Stagnant Waters
Like a rushing river revitalizing stagnant pools, revival reinvigorates the faithful. It replenishes our spiritual reservoirs, awakens our devotion, and realigns our focus toward expanding God's Kingdom. As Ezekiel witnessed, "This water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah, where it enters the Dead Sea. When it empties into the sea, the salty water there becomes fresh" (Ezekiel 47:8).
