More people. More programs. More buildings.

They grew fast.
They knocked down walls.
Built balconies.
Won awards for church growth.
By every conventional metric, they had “made it.”
But beneath the surface, something was off.
Volunteers were burned out.
The building was overloaded.
People were beginning to act more like consumers than contributors.
