The Call to Authenticity: A Solemn Warning to the Church
Something is shifting in the body of Christ.
Everywhere you look, believers are rethinking the way we “do church.”
There’s talk of moving away from the attraction model — the lights, the performance, the polish — toward something more “authentic” and “encounter-based.”
On the surface, it sounds right. It sounds holy.
But if we’re not discerning, we’ll simply trade one form of man-made ministry for another.
We’ll stop chasing relevance and start chasing “realness” — yet still on our own terms.
We’ll stop marketing events and start marketing encounters — and call it revival.
And all the while, we’ll still be missing the heart of God.
The Kingdom Moves by the Spirit — Not by Models
The Kingdom of God has never been sustained by trends, programs, or strategies.
It moves when men and women die to themselves and walk in step with the Spirit.
It grows when obedience takes the place of ambition and when presence replaces performance.
You can’t brand what’s meant to be birthed in brokenness.
You can’t market what only flows from consecration.
When we walk in the Spirit, Jesus is revealed — not because we planned it, but because we yielded.
When leaders live surrendered, authenticity stops being a style and becomes our substance.
When hearts are on fire with the presence of God, transformation doesn’t need to be staged — it becomes inevitable.
The Danger of Substitutes
The deception is subtle, but deadly.
We talk about “presence” yet still rely on performance.
We talk about “encounter” but still measure success by attendance and applause.
We say we’re done with entertainment, yet we keep producing experiences.
We claim to be led by the Spirit, but we still script every move.
That’s not the leading of the Spirit — that’s the management of the Spirit.
And the Spirit of God will not be managed.
The Church cannot control the One who came as wind and fire.
He doesn’t conform to our systems, our branding, or our timelines.
He moves where hearts are surrendered, not where strategies are perfected.

Glenn......remember the Ole saying, "What you feed grows, and what you starve dies"! THE 'flesh' of man and 'religion' is a hungry beast with an insatiable appetite.
