God Will Restore Your Wasted Years

Do you have misgivings regarding your past? Have you squandered time living unproductively?

Many of us have months and even years that we wish we could live over again. The Good news is that the Bible says that it is possible to experience the restoration of our wasted years. “And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten…” (Joel 2:25).

How can such a thing come to pass?

In Israel, there are two rainy seasons known respectively as the former and latter rain. “And He will cause the rain to come down for you—the former rain and the latter rain in the first month” (Joel 2:23). The prophet is saying that God will cause a convergence of both the latter and former rains in one month resulting in a supernatural harvest that will replenish all that was lost, stolen, or destroyed in past seasons!

God by nature is super-natural, meaning that though He created the laws of nature, He is not subject to them. Time and space cannot restrict Him. He merely commands the blessing and immeasurable increase occurs. “Then I will command My blessing on you in the sixth year, and it will bring forth produce enough for three years” (Leviticus 25:21).
